I've been to The Breakfast Club in Westgate twice now, and both times I've enjoyed the food I've been served there. The service in the UK in general is not the most fantastic service that I've had, but The Breakfast Club's waiters and waitresses are relatively polite and friendly! While I was there this past trip, I got the breakfast sandwich deal (sorry, I've forgotten what it's called on the menu by now). I thought that it was one of the most value-for-money deals, as you'd get a sandwich, two hash browns, and a drink for £8.50. The food did take a while to arrive, but it wasn't an unreasonable amount of time to wait. The food was tasty and hot, and I did not regret my decisions (though I struggled with how I was going to eat the sandwich without getting it all over myself).

Aside from the food, I really like that they have a lot of discounts and they seem to be quite integrated into the community (working with other organisations, etc.). One thing that I disliked, though, is that when they give you your bill, they note an "optional service charge", and though you don't have to pay for it, they include it in the "total". Honestly, I'm not opposed to paying the service charge, but I dislike the way it's done almost sneakily! Anyway, for those of you who might be miffed paying a service charge, now you know--it's optional.

Overall, I would recommend The Breakfast Club, and am looking forward to trying other things on their menu!

An awesome little place, and just a few things away from being perfect! We loved the decor, and the waitstaff was absolutely amazing, as friendly and helpful as one could ask for. The seating was lovely, and the menu was varied and well-chosen.
We had a cappuccino and a black coffee. The former was quite small, but tasted great. The latter was a bit watery. A stronger brew would go a long way. We ordered the Disco Fries, a side of Homestyle Potatoes, and the Huevos al Benny, which was a unique Benedict mixture of Mexican products, all of which tasted amazing. Highly recommended. The only problem with the dish, and all the Benedicts, were that the muffin was very think, and threw off the whole balance of the dish. About half the thickness, and it would be the best Eggs Benedict in Oxford, hands down.
The disco fries were perfect. A sinful mixture of all things mouthwatering. The homestyle potatoes were seasoned perfectly, but were in such large pieces that in some of them the inside was undercooked. I think smaller pieces or more time in the fryer would make them perfect.

As we were leaving we saw some of the fluffy pancakes, and cursed our stomach for not having more room. Next time... Overall, a great place, and definitely one to visit for a great breakfast!

Me and my three friends were so excited to head into this place after searching for places to eat. When I saw shakshuka on the menu, I got excited as i am from New York and was not And something to find something like that on the menu. I happily placed my order and waited for the food to come. The food took an hour to come, and my three friends all received their food. A waiter comes over and says to me that they have no more shakshuka. They neglected to tell me that they were out of it before I placed my order, so I waited for an hour, only to be left with no food at all. I was given a menu to pick something else and chose avocado toast, which then came out relatively quickly, but once i tried it, it was almost unbearably salty. I was apologized to many times, but was only given a £5 coupon for my inconveniences. Needless to say, I won't be returning for the rest of my visit.
